For the last several weeks, we’ve been asking you to Save the Date for a Virtual Shul Dinner to be held on Motzei Shabbat, June 12. In response, many members of the community have wondered why we can’t hold an in-person event, given changing CDC guidelines and a gradual return to pre-COVID social programming.

Well, we’re writing to share the exciting news that the volunteers on our Dinner and Marketing Committees have found a way to re-imagine the event and take it to a new level. So, here’s what you need to know:

The Young Israel of Teaneck is launching a ”‏קדימה ביחד - Forward Together” Campaign, a series of friendmaking and fundraising events that will reintegrate our community and culminate in the חנוכת הבית of our beautiful new Shul.

This series will comprise of:

• A Virtual Celebration of the past, present, and future of our extraordinary community,

• An in-person social to reintroduce ourselves to each other, and

• An in-person חנוכת הבית to celebrate the completion of our community’s new home.

This ‏קדימה ביחד Campaign will take the place of the Annual Dinner we did not have and serves an important role in our fundraising efforts as well as a celebration of our community.

To this end, we are asking for 100% participation as well as your financial support. 

The first event of the קדימה ביחד Campaign will take place virtually on Saturday night, June 12th featuring a video production looking at the past, present, and future of YIOT. This is an emotional and heart warming look into our community’s growth and we encourage everyone to attend. 

Access to the virtual event begins at a donation of $108 or more.
