be “Halacha and the Workplace, Part II: Dealing with Eating,
Socializing and Travel for Work” by Rabbi Pinchas Weinberger.
Sponsored by Eden-Wok. Sushi follows lecture. Admission is
FREE. All are invited.

Youth Announcements
The summer schedule for groups will be posted next week.
There will be a short meeting in the beit medrash after the
9:00a minyan for all group leaders. All current group
leaders, and all teenagers interested in serving as group
leaders over the summer and for the coming year, are

Scholar in Residence
This Shabbat, Rabbi Jacob J. Schachter, will be our Scholar in ]Residence.
He is the Senior Scholar at the Center for Jewish Future in ]Yeshiva University.
Rabbi Schachter will give the following lectures:
The Drasha at the 9:00a minyan.
6.30-7.30p: "The Contemporary Significance of the State of Israel: Reishit Tzimchat Geulatainu?”. Babysitting will be available.
Seudat shlishit at 8:00p: "Act and Emotion in Jewish Tradition"

SPECIAL EVENT: On Sunday, Rabbi Mordechai Greenberg,
Rosh Yeshiva of KBY, will speak on “Balancing Your Focus:
Derech Eretz & Torah” after the 8:00a minyan.

Condolences
Condolences to Senja Lauderdale on the recent loss of her
Grandmother and Aunt. She will be at the shiva house (69 Merry
Ln, Jericho, NY) through Thursday 6/21. Condolences can be

Part of the parking lot will be closed over shabbat to make room
for the kiddush.

When Parking Near Shul...
Please be sensitive and not park in front of the driveways of the shul neighbors. It should go without saying that parking in their driveway without specific permission -even if you think that they are not home - is not appropriate either.
